Away day

Today we had an 'away day' at work.  Sadly, not a fun 'away day', but a working day away from the office. Whilst I've come back with lots more work :( - it's a lovely venue, a rather gothic building that's now a hotel.

During our lunch break I had a wander round and took some photos to share with you...

gothic tower with scaling gargoyles - you can just make them out either side in black

this leads to a beautiful stable block too

this is actually a river, but it's not moving, so it's stagnant - lovely colour though

elderberries, yum

this horse chestnut tree was HUGE - this is looking upwards into it

This oriental pot (of which there are two) is twice as tall as me!

Hope you had a good Tuesday. x

  2. it looked so lovely & it was quite balmy today.

I'm an Administration Officer for a Health & Safety Examination Board (boring! but it pays the bills). Simply put we set examination papers (& get them marked) & our department is always so busy that we had to have a day away from the office just to get an uninterrupted meeting! xx

  6. :) it's more that people take our health & safety qualifications (to possibly help them become a health inspector :) ).

lucky you if you can change it all, I'd love to do something different but don't have the confidence to do it (what a coward I am, in the job sense anyway). xx
